Privacy Policy

Account information. If you create an account (by email/password or by signing in with Google), we store your email address, a display name, and the points you earn from correct predictions. This is handled by our authentication provider, Supabase.

Content you submit. Claims you post, votes you cast, and any related activity are stored and linked to your account so we can show debate threads, scores, and leaderboards.

Push notification data. If you opt in to notifications, your browser or device registers a push subscription (an endpoint URL and encryption keys) so we can deliver match/verdict alerts. You can revoke this anytime in your browser or device notification settings.

Usage and diagnostic data. We use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand overall usage (pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser type), and Sentry to capture crash and error reports so we can fix bugs. These may include your IP address and device information but are not used to build an advertising profile.

To operate core features (debate rooms, voting, verdicts, leaderboards), to send notifications you’ve opted into, to diagnose and fix bugs, and to understand which features are used so we can improve the product. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

We share data only with the service providers that help us run VerdictRooms, each acting under their own privacy terms:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting
• Google — sign-in with Google (optional), Google Analytics
• Vercel — website hosting and analytics
• Railway — backend/API hosting
• Sentry — error monitoring
• Anthropic — generates AI verdicts from match claims and public match stats (does not receive your account email)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We use cookies/local storage to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences (like your last-viewed filter tab), and Google/Vercel Analytics set their own analytics cookies. You can clear these anytime through your browser settings; doing so will sign you out.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing 6qryxy4xth@privaterelay.appleid.com. We’ll delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where we’re required to keep it for legal or fraud-prevention reasons.

VerdictRooms is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we’ll remove it.

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
